Over Easy

Over easy eggs are flipped and cooked on both sides. Americans use different terms to describe the degree and method to which fried eggs are cooked, including:

over easy
or
over light
white fully cooked yolk is runny
over medium white thoroughly cooked yolk is cooked through, but soft and runny in the center
over hard
or
over well
white thoroughly cooked yolk is intact and cooked all the way through
